Oh my sweet, Sugar! I absolutely looooovvee to bless people with sweets! 😊 Hi, my name is Nicole, but my childhood nickname was Neco. How I became Nicole is a funny story for another day. Anyway, I am a wife of nearly 29 years, a mom of two young adult children, no pets until our puppy Franklin James recently joined the clan, and I am the proud owner of a yellow KitchenAid stand mixer that I lovingly gave the name of Daisy. The fact that I actually named my mixer tells you that I absolutely love to bake, but also tells you that I am a little weird (but in a cute fun way) 😉.
When I was exploring names for my dessert company, I wanted it to capture the essence of why we do what we do here. Koco is a spin-off of my childhood nickname which reminds me of the joy of growing up in the St. Louis area where I enjoyed desserts like no other such as the Gooey Butter Cake or a slice of Miss Hullings Split Lemon Cake. I wanted to bring that same sweet joy from the Midwest to the south. So Koco & Daisy Dessert Company was born.
I’m not gonna bore you with the “I’ve loved baking since I was child” story (though it’s true). Instead, I’d rather tell you that my love for baking is not about baking, it’s about the people that get to experience one of the simplest joys of life, the indulgence of a sweet dessert. I love being the person responsible for someone saying, “Oh my goodness, that was sooo good!”. If you have a craving, need a gift, or have an event, let us bake for you!
